Most sheet-metal workers not satisfied with job

Salary highly experienced sheet-metal workers between R12 437 and R29 946 per month

Workers in this occupation with 25 years of work experience earn the highest salary: between R13 339 and R31 028 per month. Very experienced people in this job that are working for 30 years, receive a salary ranging from R12 437 to R29 946 per month.

Sheet-metal workers mostly male

The age group for workers who answered the survey was mostly between 24 and 29 years of age. Of the employees who participated in the survey, 40% have no children. 97% says they are male, while 3% entered female as their gender.

Average working week of 44 hours

Employees work 44 hours per week on average. According to our survey, coverage by collective bargaining among workers in this occupation is set at 3%. 97% are not covered by a collective agreement.

Coworkers mostly male

The majority of employees work in organisations of 500 or more employees. Since starting their first job, 33% of people in this job have worked fewer than 5 years. Of the participating workers, 50% work in a multinational organisation. Workers in this occupation who do not have a permanent contract for the work they are performing, added up to 50% of respondents.
