Majority services managers covered by collective agreement

11 Jun 2023 - 10 years of work experience reaps services managers a salary ranging from R18 791 to R48 319 per month. Most workers are male, based on the survey results. This is the conclusion of research carried out by Mywage.co.za, in 2023.

Salary highly experienced services managers between R22 380 and R65 836 per month

Workers with 25 years of work experience earn the highest salary: between R27 162 and R69 934 per month. Very experienced workers in this occupation that are working for 30 years, receive a salary ranging from R22 380 to R65 836 per month.

Services managers mostly male

62% says they are male, while 38% entered female as their gender. 57% of workers have 1 child or more. Employees who answered the survey are mostly between 30 and 39 years of age.

On average, employees work 42 hours per week. Coverage by collective bargaining amongst employees is 1%, while 99% are not covered by a collective agreement, according to our survey.

34% of services managers 10-20 years of work experience

Since starting their first job, 34% of workers in this occupation have worked 10-20 years. Of the participating people in this job, 42% work in a multinational organisation. For most workers in this occupation, the majority of their coworkers are male. People in this job mostly work in organisations consisting of 500 or more people. 89% of workers in this occupation state that they have a permanent contract for the work that they are doing. People in this job who do not have a permanent contract for the work they are performing, added up to 11% of respondents.

The survey shows that 6% of the workers feel highly dissatisfied about their position. In general, most workers are satisfied with their position. This is the case for 31% of the workers.

Among the workers in this occupation, 30% reported they are highly dissatisfied with their wage. 35% of the workers reports to be dissatisfied with their wage.
