Majority hotel managers satisfied with job

22 Aug 2023 - Hotel managers with 20 years of work experience will earn between R14 107 and R26 844 per month. Of the participating workers, 32% work in a multinational organisation. This is evident from research conducted by Mywage.co.za, in 2023.

Based on our survey, people in this job with 30 years of work experience earn the highest salary: between R15 393 and R35 702 per month. With 20 years of experience, workers in this occupation will earn between R14 107 and R26 844 per month.

41% says they are male, while 59% entered female as their gender. 57% of employees are parents of at least 1 child. The age group for employees who answered the survey was mostly between 30 and 39 years of age.

On average, people in this job work 44 hours per week. According to our survey, coverage by collective bargaining among workers in this occupation is set at 5%. 95% are not covered by a collective agreement.

32% of hotel managers fewer than 5 years of work experience
